In the Pre Independence era, way back in 1883, our Promoter’s forefather Mr. Pitambarbhai Jeevabhai Lathigara commenced manufacturing of gold and silver ornaments and jewellery in “Lathi” (our native village in the state of Gujarat) at the age of 20. Since then, generation after generation, our business developed and progressed over the decades. The business expanded to Valsad town and thereafter to Savarkundla town. The family of our Promoters earned tremendous goodwill and name in the manufacture of customised jewellery and ornaments.
In the year 1953, Mr. Ramjibhai Jagjivanbhai Lathigara envisioned a bright future for this Industry and decided to give our business a brand in the name of “RJ Mark” on the jewellery manufactured by the firm. Gradually the name progressed and the next generation strived to take their traditional business to new heights and this propelled Mr. Jayantibhai Ramjibhai Lathigara, to visit Italy in 1986 and enrol for a specialised training in Italy to learn the art of manufacturing quality ornaments and jewellery.
In 1991, the next generation i.e., Mr. Dharmendra Jayantibhai Lathigara and Hiren Jayantibhai Lathigara took the initiative to incorporate a private limited company “Raj Jewellery Private Limited”.
